The Past Pupils’ Association launched their very first web site at a simple ceremony held in the school auditorium on 31st August 2012.  The initial ‘click’ to the web site was made by Rev Sr Solange Fernando, Patroness of the Association.  To witness this memorable event were Rev Sr Shermila, Rev Sr Alexander and Rev Sr Ramona, Principals of the Collegiate, Primary and Montessori schools.  It was heart-warming to see several   Past Presidents of the Association gracing the occasion.  The President of the PPA in Southern California, Ms. Janaki Sarathchandra who was in the country, was also present while the Executive Committee members constituted an active part of the audience.

The proceedings commenced with an introductory address by the President, Dr Nirmala Pieris. She spoke at large on the merits of the web site, emphasising the role it would play in forging links between Bridgetines, all over the world.  This was followed by the official launch by Rev Sr Solange Fernando. Dilmani Warnasuriya, Chairperson of the Web site Committee then introduced the site in detail.  She concluded her presentation by expressing her thanks to both to the President and Tamara Sivagurunathan, an active member of the Web site Sub-committee, for her valuable contribution towards the project.  Tamara concluded the formal proceedings by delivering the vote of thanks.  All the invitees were hosted to refreshments, and the members made use of the occasion to renew ties with the Past Presidents   who were present.  This was a fitting ending to a very pleasant occasion.
