  • Bridgetine Reach

Reaching out, reconnecting, and celebrating the strength of our Bridgetine sisterhood

Every Bridgetine carries with her a lifetime of memories…friendships formed in school corridors, lessons that shaped us, and a bond that never truly fades.

With this spirit in our hearts, we began our very first Bridgetine Reach visit with a warm and memorable evening of tea with Deshabandu Jezima Ismail (SBC PPA Past President 1988/1989), in the gracious company of Past Presidents Nirmala Pieris and Yasmin Zarook.

What unfolded was more than just a visit. It was an afternoon of stories, laughter, reflection, and heartfelt conversation; a beautiful reminder that the Bridgetine connection is not limited by time, distance or age. The sisterhood we share continues to grow stronger with every moment we take to reach out and reconnect.

Bridgetine Reach is our way of honouring those bonds, visiting, listening, sharing memories, and ensuring that every Bridgetine knows she is always part of this family.

  • Lenten Blood Donation Campaign

Embracing this spirit, the Past Pupils' Association of St. Bridget's Convent, in collaboration with the Old Boys' Union of St. Joseph's College Colombo 10 and the National Blood Transfusion Service Sri Lanka, came together to organize a Lenten Blood Donation Camp on 15th March 2026 at the college premises. This initiative stood as a powerful expression of charity. An opportunity to give not just in sacrifice, but in life itself.

More than an event, it was a testament to the strength of community. Individuals across generations gathered with a shared purpose donating 117 pints of blood.

Guided by the enduring motto, SPECTAMUR AGENDO - "By our deeds we shall be known" this initiative marked a meaningful beginning to our tenure. It reflected a collective commitment to serve, to uplift, and to respond to a vital national need with generosity and grace.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all donors and participants whose selfless contributions made this effort possible.
