Stone Laying Ceremony for Sports Pavilion (Collegiate School)

As an Exofficio member of the School Development Society (SDS), the President attended the Stone Laying ceremony on 13th May 2013.

Swimming Meet (Primary School)

The President and three Committee members represented the PPA at the Primary School Swimming Meet held on 4th July 2013 at the SSC Pool.

Sinhala Day (Collegiate School)

 

For the 51st time the Sinhala Literary Association of the Collegiate School celebrated Sinhala day on the theme ‘Nil Diyawara’ on 15th May 2013. The Chief Guest was Ms. Latha Gurusinghe, Senior Lecturer, University of Colombo. President PPA attended.

Daphne Attygalle Scholarship – Interview

The President was a member of the Interview Board to select the winner of the Daphne Attygalle Scholarship. The interviews were held on 4th July 2013.

School Development Society (SDS) AGM

The President in her capacity as an Exofficio member of the SDS committee attended the AGM held on 21st May 2013.

Prize Giving (Collegiate School)


The Annual Prize Giving of the Collegiate School was held on 9th July 2013. The Chief Guest was His Lordship Rt. Rev. Dr. Maxwell Silva, Auxiliary Bishop of Colombo. The President attended.

Science Day (Collegiate School)

The President attended ‘Science Day’ on the theme ‘The Web of Life” organized by the Science Society of the Collegiate School and held on 29th May 2013.

Prize Giving (Primary School)

The President and one Committee member attended the Prize Distribution 2012 of the Primary School held on 24th September 2013. The Chief Guest was His Lordship Rt. Rev. Raymond Wickramasinghe.

Corpus Christi

The PPA took an active role when the school celebrated Corpus Christi on 7th June 2013 by decorating the 3rd Repository that was set up at the Convent Balcony, participating in a half hour adoration of the Blessed Sacrament as well as in the procession. The decorations were done in collaboration with the School Development Society (SDS).

 

Prize Awards Ceremony (Middle School)

The President was the Chief Guest at the Prize Awards Ceremony of the Middle School held on 27th September 2013.

Commerce Day (Collegiate School)

The Tamil Literary Union of the School presented the 68th Tamil Day on 15th June 2013. The Chief Guest was Rev. Br. R. Joseph Jeyakanthan of St. Joseph’s Colombo. The PPA was represented by the President and one Committee member.

English Day (Collegiate School)


The President and one Committee member attended the “English day 2013” on 1st October 2013 organized by the English Literary Association on the theme “Unmasking the Dramatists Within”.

Tamil Day (Collegiate School)

The Tamil Literary Union of the School presented the 68th Tamil Day on 15th June 2013. The Chief Guest was Rev. Br. R. Joseph Jeyakanthan of St. Joseph’s Colombo. The PPA was represented by the President and one Committee member.

 

Nativity Play (Montessori)


The President and one Committee member attended the “English day 2013” on 1st October 2013 organized by the English Literary Association on the theme “Unmasking the Dramatists Within”.

Prefects Day (Collegiate School)

The Prefects body of the School celebrated Prefects Day on the theme “Outshine” on 24th June 2013. The President and Secretary attended.

 

Carol Service (Collegiate School)

The President and 3 Committee members attended the Carol Service “Gloria in Excelsis Deo” presented by the School choir and the Western Brass Band and held on 13th December 2013

Interact Club Awards Ceremony (Collegiate School)

 

The President attended the Interact Club “Awards Night 2013” held on 26th June 2013.

President PPA and several Committee members attended the above events on an invitation of the Principal, Staff and Students of St. Bridget’s Convent

Art Exhibition (Primary School)

“Different Strokes” the Art Exhibition of the Primary School was held on 28th and 29th June 2013. The PPA was represented by the President, Vice President and 4 Committee members.

Annual Inter-House Athletic Meet (Collegiate School)

The President and a few Committee members attended the Meet that was held on 20th February at the NCC Grounds.

'Shades 2013’ (Collegiate School)

President PPA visited “Shades 2013” a Fun Fair and Graffiti Art Competition organized by the Teachers’ Guild together with the Interact Club of the School on 29th June 2013.

Sports Meet (Primary School)

The President attended the Sports Meet of the Primary School held on 26th February at the Primary School Grounds

Swimming Meet (Collegiate School)

The President attended the 48th Annual Inter-house Aquatic Meet held at the Singhalese Sports Club Swimming pool on 1st July 2014. The President was also invited to give away some awards.
